Ernest H. Short
Ernest H. Short is a Juris Doctorate graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Before joining the Burrage Law Firm, Ernie practiced law as an Assistant General Counsel for the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Ernie has held positions of president, chief executive officer and member of the Board of Directors with several investment services firms. Ernie enjoys public service, teaching and philanthropy. He is a former President of the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, Delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business, and President of the California State Conference on Small Business. Ernie has had the privilege to be a guest lecturer at the American University, the National College of the State Judiciary, the Institute for Court Management, and the NATO Advanced Study Institute on Technology Transfer. Ernie is the founder and President of Positive Strokes, Inc., a not-for-profit entity that provides education funding for children from institutional or underprivileged backgrounds. Ernie is married to Erika Montiel Noguera. Erika and Ernie enjoy spending time with family and with the animals on their small farm in Costa Rica.
