When vehicles are struck by trains, the outcome can be deadly. Recently, near Thackerville, a semi-truck was hit by an Amtrak train. Fortunately, this accident wasn’t as serious as it could have been. The details of the collision are still unclear. An investigation may provide further information of exactly what happened.

Accident details

The Oklahoma collision happened in the evening on railway tracks near Thackerville. It’s currently unknown why the truck was on the tracks. The train was carrying 110 passengers and crew members. After the collision, four passengers were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

The truck involved in the accident was a vehicle hauler carrying cargo. The driver of the truck and his dog were both in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Both driver and dog were understandably frightened after the accident, but they suffered no injuries. An investigation into the cause of the accident may reveal further details on what happened and may determine if anyone was at fault.
