Many people in Oklahoma enjoy riding motorcycles when the weather is nice. Riding a motorcycle on public roads comes with a unique set of challenges when compared to driving a larger vehicle. Motorcycle riders are much more vulnerable when involved in an accident and the chances of being seriously injured are higher due to these vulnerabilities. Sadly, a recent accident involving a motorcycle and two other vehicles left one person dead.
Authorities are unsure what happened
The accident happened one weekday evening on Highway 62. There were two vehicles and a motorcycle involved in the accident. When authorities arrived on the scene, one person was dead. There were no other injuries reported. Available information is limited, and police have not revealed which vehicle the victim was traveling in.
Because of the accident, a section of Highway 62 near Harrah Road had to be closed for cleanup. Investigators are looking further into the accident to determine the cause. No names have been released of those involved and no charges have been filed at this time.
Help for the victim’s family
Losing a loved one in a motor vehicle accident can be traumatic for a family. But in many cases, the loved ones are not only left dealing with the emotional aspects of losing someone unexpectedly but may also have many expenses related to the crash. When an accident happens due to negligence, the negligent driver may be held financially responsible for some or all expenses. Oklahoma residents who have lost a loved one unexpectantly in a motor vehicle crash can benefit from seeking legal counsel to understand their options.
