Car accidents in Oklahoma and other states can be traumatic events for everyone involved. They are unexpected and can often leave vehicle occupants with serious and life-changing injuries. When a car crash proves fatal, the family members of the victim must deal with the aftermath of losing a loved one in a tragic accident. Sadly, this happened in a recent crash that killed an out-of-state man and left two women with serious injuries.

How the accident happened

This single-vehicle accident occurred early on a weekday morning in Wagoner County. The pickup truck was traveling on U.S. 69 with three occupants. For unknown reasons, the vehicle crashed. After the accident, the male passenger was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. The driver and the other passenger, both females, were also injured.

The driver of the pickup was last listed in stable condition while the other woman was listed as critical. Investigators are not sure what caused the accident as the road was dry and the weather was clear at the time of the crash. If investigators determine that the driver was negligent, she could face charges.

Legal assistance for accident victims

Accident victims or their family members can be left with medical bills and other unexpected expenses. Dealing with these costs, while also coming to terms with such a traumatic event, can be overwhelming. If the accident was caused by a negligent driver, Oklahoma residents have the option to pursue legal action against that driver. By speaking with a personal injury attorney, those in such a situation can better understand what options they may have.
