Multi-vehicle crash in Oklahoma City results in injuries

On Behalf of | Jun 12, 2023 | Car Accidents

Motorists in Oklahoma must obey all applicable laws when operating a vehicle. When the laws are not followed, especially when it comes to obeying the speed limit, accidents can happen. Speeding vehicles can crash into other motorists and the damage to vehicles and injuries to the occupants are often serious or even fatal. A recent accident that likely involved a speeding vehicle resulted in several injuries.

How the accident happened

The multi-vehicle crash occurred on a Wednesday in Oklahoma City. The accident happened on Northeast 23rd Street and Bartell Road. There were six vehicles involved in the crash and three people were taken for treatment for injuries received in the crash. One person was ejected from their vehicle.

Details of the events leading up to the accident are undetermined at this time, but investigators believe that at least one of the vehicles involved was speeding at the time of the crash. If investigators officially determine that speed was a factor in the accident, the driver may face charges related to negligent driving. The driver could also face a civil lawsuit from those injured in the collision.

Seeking legal help after an accident injury

Accident victims can be left with many concerns when they suffer serious injuries in a car crash. Victims may suffer from lifelong pain, may need physical therapy, and may struggle with working or participating in activities they enjoyed before the injury. Negligent drivers may be held financially liable when they cause an accident that leads to injuries or fatalities. Accident victims in Oklahoma should be aware that they have the legal right to seek compensation from the driver deemed at fault through a civil lawsuit.
